These journals were made for YOU! And look how smart, unique, interesting, talented, and fabulous you are!

Send us your pages! If you want to possibly see your work on the journal wall, please send a good-quality image of a page or spread to editor@dankworkthpublishing.com. Please also provide your name, a little bit of copy about yourself, and any urls we can link to about your work to promote it. If you want to remain anonymous or just use your first name and location, that is fine too. And don't forget to mention the journal you are writing or drawing in! Mary Dougherty, Bayfield, Wisconsin. Journal: Water Protector

"I was working on my sourdough crepe recipe this morning and needed to jot down the recipe....and your Water Protector journal was sitting on my desk, ready to go.

It’s the perfect spot for my recipe notes — food and how it’s produced is a crucial part of any discussion around water pollution and protection."

Karen Sandstrom, Cleveland, Ohio. Journal: Tree Hugger

A lifelong Clevelander, Karen has been writing and drawing for about as long as she's been looking at Lake Erie.

She earned her first degree in journalism, and spent a long time as a reporter,  feature writer and book critic for The Plain Dealer. There she learned about the importance of deadlines.

She  also holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in illustration from the Cleveland Institute of Art. There she learned the importance of persistence and revision, and that a sense of humor goes a long way.

Her illustrations have been published by Boyds Mills Press (an imprint of Highlights), the Plain Dealer, Edible Cleveland and OhioAuthority.com.
